Patentees are required to comply with various reporting requirements: medicine and patentee identification information, prices and sales information, and revenues and scientific research and experimental development expenditures (R&D).

The main statutory reporting requirements are fully described in the Patent Act, the Patented Medicines Regulations, the Compendium of Policies, Guidelines and Procedures and the Patentee's Guide to Reporting.
